We are pleased to report that the main drainage remedial works are now complete, and subject to a further CCTV survey and sign off from Southern Water they will be able to enter into a 12-month period of maintenance. During this 12-month period Bellway, as is standard practice, will remain responsible for the adoptable drainage, allowing Southern Water to have confidence in the drainage when the time comes for adoption.
Until the end of July you will see some final works on gulleys taking place around the site – the below plan shows locations and anticipated dates of these works. Alongside these gulley works, some final block paving remedial work is due to take place within July before there is a final sign off from the local Highways Authority on the adoptable areas. As throughout, Civio will look to keep any disruption to a minimum and we thank you for your continued cooperation and understanding.

Following completion of these gulley and block paving works, the last week of July will see the compound removed from the central green and this area appropriately restored ready for seeding in the beginning of August. A watering programme will be followed by the landscapers to help the grass seed “take”. During the time whilst the seed is growing access to this area will be restricted to allow for the seed to remain undisturbed. Temporarily, and to allow for the emptying of this area and reinstatement works to take place, the Civio welfare cabin will be relocated elsewhere on the green. This approach has been agreed with a representative from the Management Company with the stipulation that the cabin will be dropped onto sleepers to ensure the grass is disturbed as little as possible. The temporary location is marked with a red "X" on the above plan, with the cabin only remaining here until the final tarmacking has taken place.
We would like to reassure you that we are and will continue to be liaising closely with both Southern Water and the Highways Authority to ensure the final tarmacking happens as soon as possible. However, we cannot control how long they will take to respond to the final surveys and therefore whilst it is anticipated we will get the go ahead to lay the final tarmac during w/c10 August we are unable to confirm this date with you until formal sign offs have been received from both parties. We will therefore look to contact you again nearer the time to provide an update and, subject to being given the go ahead, share detailed plans of areas affected, associated dates and how this may impact you.
We acknowledge that there has been an extended period of time associated with these essential works and we have greatly appreciated all residents’ patience during this time – thank you.
